   Scope of work/responsibilities:   
      
   We are seeking a proactive Director of Finance & Administration to join our   
   client's vibrant downtown office. Candidate will be responsible for: 1) the   
   accuracy, presentation and timing of financial information; 2) regional cash   
   flow, profitability analysis, budgets, projects and actual results; 3)   
   supervision of all accounting functions and 6 direct reports within the   
   Vancouver office; and 4) the design, implementation and monitoring of   
   appropriate internal controls as well as generating new ideas to foster   
   regional profitability.   
      
   Required skills/qualifications:   
      
   Applicants must be detailed oriented, capable of strategic thinking, and   
   performing in a challenging, fast paced professional services environment.   
   Experience within a service based industry involving job/project cost   
   accounting would be preferred (i.e. experience working with a consulting   
   organization, legal or construction firm, or other similar companies   
   involving work in progress & billable time). To excel, candidate must have   
   proven leadership, analytical, team building and management abilities to   
   create consensus decisions and deliver on commitments made (i.e. execution &   
   follow through). Knowledge of public company finance and experience covering   
   Canada, and Asia would be ideal.  CA, CGA, or CMA designation is required.   
   This would be an excellent opportunity for candidates who 1) have strong   
   business acumen and naturally excel in strategic financial planning and   
   operations optimization (i.e. streamlining processes, applying best   
   practices, systems & operational improvement, etc.) and 2) are seeking broad   
   portfolio challenges and career advancement into senior management capacity.   
   We are open to considering individuals with recent/relevant experience as a   
   Director of Finance or individuals in a Senior Controller or Finance   
   Management role ready for the next promotion.
