Analyse existing capabilities and requirements, develop redesigned       frameworks and recommend areas for improved capability and integration.       Develop and document detailed statements of requirements.        b.. Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document       database content, structure, and application subsystems, and develop data       dictionary.        c.. Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations       within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and       existing systems.        d.. Prototype potential solutions, provide tradeoff information and       suggest recommended courses of action.        e.. Perform information modelling in support of BPR implementation.        f.. Perform cost/benefit analysis of implementing new processes and       solutions.        g.. Provide advice in developing and integrating process and information       models between business processes to eliminate information and process       redundancies.        h.. Comply with Corporate data architectures, strategies and frameworks,       including operational and Enterprise data warehouse activities;        i.. Analyze and evaluate alternative data architecture solutions to meet       business problems/requirements and to incorporate theses into the Corporate       data architecture;        j.. Review corporate data architecture strategies and directions, data       requirements, and business information needs and devise data subject areas       to support them;        k.. Provide input to refinement of data architecture principles,       guidelines and policies;        l.. Provide recommendations of appropriate concepts, practices, approaches       and/or methods;        m.. Analyze metadata requirements to identify common, re-useable       components and how they need to be changed to address the user requirements       Requirements:              Govt. of Canada SECRET Clearance is required              English              The proposed resource must have a minimum of five (5) years experience,       within the last ten (10) years, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the       technologies and principles within data architecture.              The proposed resource must have a minimum of five (5) years experience,       within the last ten (10) years, working as a member of a data architecture       team.              The proposed resource must have a minimum of five (5) years experience,       within the last ten (10) years, participating in the development of data       modeling and metadata policies and procedures.              Has experience working on projects within the Public Sector.              Has experience, within the last ten (10) years, reviewing corporate       architecture strategies and              directions, data requirements, and business information needs and devising       data subject areas to              support them.              Experience mentoring, coaching and providing guidance for data modellers       and/or data              architects.              Experience demonstrating experience with On-line Transaction Processing       (OLTP) design and              implementation.              Experience with RUP (Rational Unified Process) and UML (Unified Modeling       Language).              Has experience, within the last ten (10) years, in data warehouse modeling       and implementation.              Has experience, within the last ten (10) years, proactively identifying and       addressing data quality              and integrity issues to continually increase the value of information       available to business users.              Has experience mentoring business users and producing documentation and       information that              assists business users with access to corporate data assets.              Has experience, within the last ten (10) years, determining how changing       business needs affect              existing systems and providing recommendations for evolution of database       architecture.                                                 For further info, please contact Jonathan 613-234-2345 ext 225 /       Jonathan.Mcleod@microtime-it.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
