   Microtime Inc is looking for an experienced Communications Executive for a   
   4 - 5 month contract with a government client.   
      
   Qualifications:   
   Knowledge:   
      
      In developing short and long term communications strategies;   
      
      Managing the implementation of those communication strategies;   
      
      Creating specific support communications materials;   
      
      Scenario planning for Ministerial and government-wide national and   
      
         international events; Provision of client liaison management services   
      
         (account management);   
      
      Developing and implementing creative communication products using a   
      
         variety of tools and techniques and media including web-based   
      
         technologies;   
      
      Development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, work   
      
         plans, critical paths, HR plans, costs analysis and other planning   
      
         documents, as well as participation in meetings with departmental   
      
         officials and ministerial staff and the provision of advice on   
      
         matters relating to policy/program development approaches/options,   
      
         and communications planning alternatives (internal and external).   
      
   Skills:   
      
      8+ years experience in the preparation of communications strategies and   
      
         plans in support of major initiatives and activities.   
      
      5+ years providing account management and communications team   
      
         leadership.   
      
      8+ years developing evidence-based communications materials for targeted   
      
         audiences (e.g. media lines, news releases, backgrounders,   
      
         publications, PowerPoint presentations, web content.)   
      
      Experience managing human and financial resources.   
      
      Recent (within past year) experience providing strategic communications   
      
         advice to government.   
      
      Recent (within past year) work in the health communications field.   
      
      Ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines.   
      
      Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.   
      
      
      
   Level of Effort : Senior   
      
   Language:  English. Capability to work in French, while an important asset,   
      
   is not required.   
      
   Security:  Secret
