   The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) works under the direction of   
   the Director, Management Practices and provides leadership to the PMO Office   
   and disciplines. The position requires a strong facilitator across IS and   
   Business groups, bringing teams together and building effective processes to   
   enhance project delivery while promoting the company's Project Management   
   and Solution Delivery Life Cycle methodologies. As such, change management,   
   communications/reporting, leadership and consensus building are essential   
   aspects of this role.   
      
   Role-Specific Accountabilities   
      
   Management Practices   
   Management of the Project Management Office which will drive common   
   practices of project management and SDLC across IS   
   Oversee the design and development of SDLC processes, customized to ensure   
   an appropriate level of internal controls while retaining the agility to   
   respond quickly to project delivery and teams   
   Develop, socialize and champion project management strategies, policies   
   techniques and tools   
   Collaborate by establishing project delivery communities and mentorship   
   networks as needed   
   Deploy project delivery tools including training to users, integration to   
   reporting and enabling on-going support   
   Facilitate the resolution and planning of multi-project resources and   
   integration conflicts   
   Embed the company's Guiding Principles in ongoing relationships and in the   
   design of standardized methods   
   Ensure continued development and roll-out of project delivery processes,   
   tools, and artifacts   
      
   Reporting   
   Maintenance of the project portfolio master list which provides a   
   consolidated view of all projects such as: , interdependencies and timelines   
   Portfolio summary reporting, including the identification of   
   interdependencies or global issues   
   Develop reporting automation and publication for project and portfolio   
   dashboards   
   Portfolio reporting commentary and summary information   
   Automation of reporting for projects and portfolios   
      
   Communications & Education   
   Oversee the ongoing development of the intranet sites in conjunction with   
   the communications and marketing strategy   
   Develop reporting automation and publication for project and portfolio   
   dashboards   
   Deploy project delivery tools including training to users, integration to   
   reporting and enabling on-going support   
   Facilitate the resolution and planning of multi-project resources and   
   integration conflicts   
   Organize training and information sessions / seminars to mentor project team   
   members in the use of SDLC tools, processes and practices   
   Oversee ongoing enhancements and administration oversight of the Intranet   
   Maintain an information repository of completed projects and reference   
   artifacts for use by the IS project teams and staff   
   Ensure the IS Intranet sites are updated regularly with project and   
   operational information such as status reports, project dashboards, upcoming   
   Investments and IT industry seminars   
      
   Relationship Building   
   Exemplify collaboration and openness by building solid relationships by   
   working closely with all IS and Business partners   
   Foster an atmosphere in which timely and high quality information flows   
   smoothly and the open expression of ideas and opinions is encouraged   
      
   Responsibilities

   Skills/Knowledge/Competencies/Capabilities   
   Bachelor's degree in Computing Engineering, Computing Science or equivalent   
   PMP certification   
   Experience with establishing a PMO that embodies disciplines, processes,   
   tools and standardized artifacts for use in an iterative, consensus based   
   culture   
   Minimum of 10 years experience in project management, preferable in the   
   financial / investments area, working on implementing business solutions in   
   a buy/build/integrate model   
   Hands-on experience, with Business Analysis, Development and Quality   
   Assurance functions or strong understanding of same   
   Demonstrated analytical, problem solving ,time management and change   
   management capabilities   
   Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines in a changing   
   environment   
   Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
