   We are currently searching for a MICROBIOLOGY MANAGER for the   
   Quality Control department.   
      
   The main purpose of this position is to: 1) manage the quality control   
   Micro lab functions so that all testing performed by QC are performed in   
   a GMP manner and according to all approved procedures, 2) manage   
   efficiency improvements within the QC Micro lab.   
      
   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   
   ·Oversee Micro lab schedules to ensure that timelines are maintained.   
   ·Perform out-of-spec investigations to ensure root cause is established.   
   ·approve procedures for compliance with company requirements.   
   ·review current systems and procedures and implement changes where   
   appropriate to improve accuracy and throughput.   
   ·review potential for new technology to improve accuracy and/or throughput.   
   ·Maintain QC in an audit ready state by performing routine inspections   
   of lab systems.   
   ·oversee employee related administrative tasks.   
      
   BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THIS JOB   
   ·Minimum of B.Sc. Microbiology   
   ·Multi-year experience (at least five) at the supervisory/management   
   level in a pharmaceutical Quality Control Micro lab   
   ·prefer experience with cream/ointment manufacturer   
      
   Location: GTA   
   Start: ASAP   
   Salary: $80K-$90K, plus 10% bonus and full benefits.
