   My client, an Ottawa based established company is looking for someone to   
   fill a newly created position as IS Operations manager/Manager Applications   
   Support   
      
   The gist however of the position is that of Applications Support - anything   
   and everything that supports the development team behind the scenes keeping   
   the development platform alive and fully functional day in and day out.   
      
   We are looking for someone with hands on technical experience who has been   
   in a similar role in the past and has managed teams and outside supply   
   vendor relationships.   
      
   Your tactical expertise will govern:   
      
   *  Application Environments from the OS upward - must have extensive   
   experience   
   *  External exchange/transfer process with outsourced service provider - a   
   must have!   
   *  Internal exchange/transfer process - must have   
      
   *  Disaster Recovery execution and evolution - must have   
   *  Batch Processing - must have!   
   *  Level 1 incident management for Application Environments and Batch - must   
   have!   
   Processing   
   *  Problem Management for Application Environments and Batch Processing -   
   must have!   
      
      
   This is a mid-level management position reporting to the AVP.  The person   
   will manage a team of approximately 8 people with additional   
   responsibilities for indirect management of the outsourced team.  The key   
   areas of this search should focus on an Operations Manager with Applications   
   level experience.   
      
   Someone with a banking or financial background would be the ideal industry   
   fit.
