   TEAM LEAD, Formulations Development - Montreal - $80-85K.   
      
      
   One of our Pharmaceutical clients is currently searching for a   
   Team Lead in Formulations.  This position will be reporting to   
   the Manager of Formulations and the purpose of this role will be to   
   develop the formula and process for new products followed by scale-up   
   and process validation.  Leading Formulation Development team members   
   is a huge aspect of the position.   
      
   Responsibilities include preparation of experimental formulations for   
   small developmental batches, and designing experiments to support the   
   final formulation process.  Scale up of experimental batches which would   
   include the manufacture and the packaging of exhibit batches and the   
   manufacture of commercially sized pre-validation batches.  Documentation   
   and report writing is crucial and would include documentation of the   
   experimental process, problems and observations and preparation of   
   documents for manufacturing and packaging.   
      
   Other responsibilities involve: supervising a small team of Research   
   Assistants, Research Scientist or Senior Scientists towards the   
   development and technology transfer of oral dosage forms for NDS/ANDS   
   submission, carrying out the development work on a new project or   
   ongoing project (approximately 60% supervisory and 40% laboratory work),   
   reviewing and coordinating with the analytical department for testing   
   results, recommending changes or improvements to the manufacturing or   
   formulation process, making presentations and writing reports to senior   
   management describing progress of the projects, tracking development   
   activities of on-going projects and achieving development targets with   
   respect to timelines and cost allocations, ensuring all activities are   
   performed in accordance with the corporate standard operating procedures   
   (SOP), guidelines and safety standards.   
      
   You must have a M.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Ph.D. with a   
   minimum of 5-10 years experience in formulation development in either   
   Solid, Semi Solid and Liquid Formulation development.
