|    TURMEL: Asking to strike $250min/$1,000m    |

From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              TURMEL: Asking to strike $250min/$1,000max Election Audit Fee cap Tuesday              JCT: On Tuesday June 30 9:30a will be heard my Motion for       Summary Judgment in Federal Court at 180 Queen St. W Toronto       to strike down the 40-year-old $250 cap on auditor's fees       for null returns.              While I'm at it, I'm going to ask if the judge can strike       the 40-year-old $1,500 cap on auditor fees. I'd bet that       does not cover the audit fees of almost every major party       candidate in Canada. Right?              Candidates with a thousand contributions, hundreds of       election expenses for signs, catering, transport, balloons       are hardly likely to have any known accounting firm to do       that for a 40-year-old maximum.              So, since I ask for any other Order, why not ask to strike       that unrealistic limit too. Won't the big parties love me!              Of course, my last post details how the Crown need more time       to prepare their response. And they want a Case Management       Judge to plan getting to the final hearing after I've just       filed for the final hearing! Har har har har har har. No       Direction on that request yet with the hearing Tuesday.              I wrote the Crown a Letter in Reply:              John C. Turmel, B.Eng.,       June 22 2015              Andrea Wheeler       Department of Justice              Re: TURMEL, John v Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Canada       Court File No T-561-15        In your letter dated June 18, 2015, you indicate your       desire for a case management judge. Given I've moved for       summary judgment, I'd think there'd be no need of a judge to       manage our getting there.        As for your bring unable to prepare your motion before       June 30 2015, it's a rather simple issue, just do your best.       With two more weeks, maybe you can still meet the challenge.              JCT: So let's see if they can get their Response printed by       Tuesday. I really can't imagine what more we need than the       facts of my situation and the legislation with the       unconscionably out-dated cap on my auditor's fee.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
