|    TURMEL: David Butler gets discharge for     |
|    23 May 17 20:48:19    |
From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              JCT: David Butler's prosecution has come to an end with an       acceptable result. He'd been busted with a small plantation       and charged under S.7(1) with cultivation and a 6-month       mandatory minimum but:              DB: Discharge after 12 months probation, guilty of possession.              John: Great. A discharge. That's no criminal record.              DB: As I sat outside the court room deciding my course of       action, the crown asked if I would consider a possession       charge, no criminal record, no gun ban with complete       discharge after 12 months probation. They had my wife go get       my HC declaration and $100 surcharge              John: Great deal. I've always approved when you end up with no       criminal record. Cheerful result. And you still have offensive       options for free. God, I'm happy for you. You were tough       enough, they caved and took a draw. I'm proud of you.              DB: I was in a tough spot and I did get a transcript of my       last court appearance on Friday and never opened it till this       morning but never read it.              JCT: Quick recap. DAvid had gone in to file his Charter Motion       and when the court ruled he couldn't file it, he lost it and       started cursing about having spent $60 on printing and it       doesn't get heard and stomped out of the courthouse. When I       heard, I had hoped there wasn't a warrant out for him.       Luckily, it didn't go that way.              DB: oh yes the sheriff had to help me right to my chair which       was brought in special for me to sit in because my back went       out a few days ago it was a sight. And yes I was commended on       my fortitude even the arresting officer shook my hand and the       judge tried to look serious but agreed with the crown and gave       me a year to pay the $100 plus I can only do prescription       drugs              JCT: Well, luckily, David did get exemption for marijuana!!!              DB: His lordship judge Muise and crown Joshua Bryson       may 23 2016 5 days short of 3 years       With what I got going on in my life yes I'm relieved it's       over              John: Yes, I'm relieved too.              JCT: So another nightmare comes to a draw.       Have to update my http://johnturmel.com/wins page              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
