|    TURMEL: Jail can't release MedPot Inmate    |

From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              TURMEL: Jail can't release MedPot Inmate Stuerm without files!              JCT: Remember how the Crown were delaying the delivery of       Adrian Stuerm's court file to the jailers. Adrian met with the       panel in charge of releasing inmates after 1/6th. They can't       keep you in more than 1/3rd without a parole hearing. But the       jailers can release inmates after 1/6th.              Adrian's lawyer came up with the deal that if he promised not       to appeal to the top, they would drop his remaining Possession       charge, he was convicted of production, and let him be       released.              Yesterday, they dropped the charges in St-Jerome. But today,       he was refused early release because his Court file was not       complete. They say it was missing the Statement of Agreed       Facts, Adrian has a copy at home, and the Police Summary.              Now, it's the Court's job to send all necessary documentation       to the jailers once the case is over. But it looks like the       Crown haven't done their job right. After all, why do the       jailers have the files for other inmates but didn't get       Adrian's?              So Adrian has to spend another weekend in jail because his       documentation still hasn't arrived from the court! Wonder they       stalled that?              I think Crown Maxime Lacourciere is going to have some tough       questions to answer once Adrian gets out.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
