|    TURMEL: Stuerm Possession Charge dropped    |

From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              TURMEL: Stuerm Possession Charge dropped for no Supreme Court Appeal              JCT: Adrian Stuerm called to say that he had signed a promise       not to appeal so the Supreme Court in exchange for them       dropping the Double Jeopardy Possession charge in St-Jerome       this morning and his release tomorrow.              Sad the earlier judge didn't do their duty and deal with the       properly filed Motion to Quash for Double Jeopardy. Lucky       them, the only such motion in recent decades and they get to       trade it off just by delaying his paperwork to keep him in       jail longer.              Anyway, it was a great Keystone Kourts and Krowns story that       they think gets buried. Especially the last highest court that       made the same silly mistake dealing with the wrong motion as the       Registrar after not reading the arguments.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
