|    TURMEL: Judge Mandeville Nixes Luc Paque    |
|    19 Dec 17 16:14:33    |
From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              JCT: So Luc presented his short-notice motion to Superior       Court this morning. Justice Catherine Mandeville.              The judge pointed out he'd signed the original conditions. Why       should they be changed.              Luc explained that he'd raised the money to get out of jail,       even if it put him deeper into debt.              Luc's Affidavit explains how he earns $3,900 a month and had       fixed expenses of $3,000 a month leaving $900 for gas, food       and family.              He explained that if he could get his bail changed to bond, he       could pay off his credit card and save $200 a month in       interest to spend on the family.              Judge Mandeville decided that since he'd signed the       Recognizance, he had to stand by it and dismissed his motion       to vary change bail to bond but did extend his curfew to start       at midnight rather than 10pm so he could pick up his kids.              I am truly stunned. He came up with the money so he'll have to       live without it.              No judge playing Santa this year.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
