|    TURMEL: Scott McCluskey makes Doctor Har    |
|    13 Jan 18 10:37:37    |
From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              JCT: I've been plagued by the need for testimony showing       Heatlh Canada calls doctors to pressure them on dosages. And       their Doctor association to pressure them too. They contacted       one Ontario patient's doctor and also his his association to       contact him too. Double pressure. The doctor caved and asked       the patient to find another doctor.              But I had no witness for Bob Woolsey's charter challenge       coming up Monday in Abbottsford BC. And serendipity, Queen in       the guts to make a Straight, Scott McCluskey wrote to the       Gold Star Team:              NEW Federal Privacy Breach complaint, URGENT              Yesterday, I was contacted by Jason Trudeau of the Federal       Privacy Commissioner's office. He is the lead investigator in       the complaint over the clause 203(1) I initiated. We have a       good relationship. I have a lengthy call planned with him this       coming Monday. He seems very much on our side. So hopefully we       win this, and can knock out this clause once and for all.              For those that do not know about this clause, it is only found       in the Regs, not the application. What it says to paraphrase       is this. That the Minister has the right (without your       consent) to send your private medical information onto any       agency they deem fit. And so they have as I predicted they       would.              The College of Physicians contacted my doctor and several of       my friends too. They said in a very politely worded letter to       my doc, asking him what the hell he was doing and was he not       aware of the colleges guidleines etc etc.              He wrote them back saying of course he was aware of it.       However he said since the College has deemed it fit to strip       chronic pain patients of the use of narcotics, and have also       deemed pain clinics that use injections such as lidocaine,       saline solution, or steroids into muscles, that these clinics       physicians must now have an anisthesiologist degree (4 year       course) to administer these injections, despite them using a       $100,000 state of the art ultrasound machine to assist in       proper placement of the injections. That the College has not       replaced any of these valuable tools with anything at all.              That he said he had to reluctantly become a somewhat expert in       alternative medicine, mainly cannabis. Therefore he not only       backs us 100% he also told the College to politely fuck off.       They can not do a thing to him as he is 70 and still       practicing. In my docs view this was a clear intimidation of       doctors.              It didn't work on my doc but it did on some friends docs. They       had their dosages reduced dramatically, and one high dosage       person was told he would not be getting any renewals in the       future. This is a travesty that must not be taken lightly, or       we will all be on 1-3 grams per day.              If you have been affected by this please contact me,       immediately with your story, so I can pass it on to the lead       investigator ASAP. Send me an email at       scott.mccluskey@telus.net. I anticipate a favorable ruling,       which with John's help we can then, launch legal action to       knock out this clause fast.              Please also inform your doctor if you are on a high dosage       that they may expect this letter. Educate your doctor of the       illegal purpose behind this letter and I may even be able to       supply you with my doctors response so they can send the same,       and we will all be singing out of the same hymn book, so to       speak. Thx.              Jct: So contact Bob Woolsey and come testify about the       "contact doctor" point I've raised but have no witness for.              This covers Point 14 for which I have only found 1 witness in       Ontario. The letter from the Doctor's Association would make a       great exhibit.              Wonder if my Ontario guy would testify by Skype? Lucky you,       whose doctor did not cave. Here's what I wrote yesterday       without a witness:               14) Under both regimes with personal production, Health        Canada takes time to make intimidating phone calls to        doctors trying to convince them to reduce their        prescriptions and complaints to the doctor's association        to pass along to the doctor! No problem when buying from        an L.P.        JCT: HC explained to one guy there are delays because they        leave messages for doctors who don't call them back.        Wonder if they got the "doctor's answering machine" and if        they did, what do they need to know? One question is: I        see a 45 grams, did you say 4 and the patient added the 5?        Neat eh? Just taking time to check while thousands get        unprocessed. So you should ask your doctor to write "forty        five 45" like on a check to avoid that stall. But their        discussions of the dosage are way off line. Plus HC calls        the doctors association to persuade them to harass the        doctor too.              JCT: It would be nice if Scott could arrange a car-load of       those patients tpeople whose doctors were pressured, cement       that point because it's so evil. Consider they could have       been processing months-long-delayed applications rather than       pressuring doctors to reduce dosages.              This card falling into our hand seems like serendipity. Plus       Scott, Jeff Harris on delays, can also testify to some of the       other 21 harms, no doubt. Scott, this is a great chance and       you've just covered one of my toughest issues.              Hey, Ontario guy, print this article for when you next see       your doctor who might cave. Plus I've got a flyer advertising       $50/gram prescriptions from a Dispensary so that's out.              We can discuss this at the Yahoogroups Gold Star Team:       https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/goldstarteam/info              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
