|    TURMEL: Crown Johnsgaard MedPot Permit R    |
|    26 Jan 18 08:14:44    |
From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              JCT: Justice Brown gave Justice Ministry attorney Wendy       Wright until 11:30am Calgary time to file a Motion Record in       Response to Terry Johnsgaard's Motion for interim renewal       pending his delivery of his renewed Authorization.              Jon Bricker responded:        The plaintiff alleges.. that this application has not        yet been processed and that his previous registration        expired on Jan 19.... the plaintiff's registration to        produce cannabis was renewed on January 22, before his        statement of claim or motion record were filed.              JCT: But still 3 days after it expired on Jan 19! So Judge        Brown just ordered:        Ottawa Oral directions received from the Court: The        Honourable Mr. Justice Brown dated 25-JAN-2018 directing        that "There will be a hearing at 2:00 pm Calgary time (4        Ottawa time) by teleconference." placed on file on 25-        JAN-2018              JCT: Lead Plaintiff Jeff Harris was invited to participate!!       Don't forget, he and his wife both had renewals in under       2 weeks under the MMAR! After all, it's all the same info       but the doctor's letter!              The hearing lasted 45 minutes, even though the motion was       now moot. I'm preparing a report on what happened. A CD is       being ordered from the Court. Best $15 ever spent.              Can't call it an actual "hop-to-it" unless they have a way       to back-date it. But issuing it the next work day after it       was expired was weird timing, wasn't it?              I insisted Terry ask only one question: What provision (law)       is there for them to renew an expired Authorization? Or       should it be deemed a new one? He got it in but I hear it       was ducked.              Think of all the people who may have been mis-processed       because the donkeys let them expire. One other o              Do you make provisions for renewals about to expire or just       leave them in the pile?              So, not counting in January, we had Tony and Nicole get hop-       to-its on their expiry date, Terry after his expiry date,       and today, another Statement of Claim in T-144-19 was filed       in Nova Scotia and a motion for short notice hearing       tomorrow the her Authorization expires without renewal! Har       har har.              Jeff says Justice Brown seemed a little peeved at Health       Canada. Next day he gets another "about to expire." Har har       har.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
