|    TURMEL: Judge Millar ducks Luc NOUAGE Pa    |

From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              JCT: Luc Paquette was busted with the NOUAGE-Ring of two       dozen small growers in Gatineau. Big conspiracy! While some       have pleaded guilty to reduced and amended charges, those       remaining have a Preliminary Inquiry on Feb 16. And who       would expect them to want to present all their witnesses a       second time for Luc's Preliminary Inquiry? So they should       want him there.              But he needs to have the charge validated by surviving his       motion to Quash first.              So Friday, he moved to Quash and Judge Millar refused. She       skipped his Preliminary Inquiry and sent him to trial with       the motion to be heard by a Trial Judge for one day on March       16. She told him to have his defence witnesses ready. The       Crown told him to have his constitutional motion with       witnesses ready too.              Bet not.              They also informed the judge their witnesses wouldn't be       coming that day. So trial will be put off.              They want him to prepare his constitutional challenge and       bring all his witnesses to court and only then find out if       the charge survives the Quash.              Dream on to think I'd inconvenience that many people.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
