|    TURMEL: No costs for Heidi's MedPot Inte    |

From: johnturmel@yahoo.com              TURMEL: No costs for Heidi's MedPot Interim Grow Permit Motion              JCT: Heidi just got news that her motion for interim relief       which caused them to get her renewal to her in record time.       She'd asked for interim relief including (a) a personal       exemption to continue growing... (2) an extension of       Plaintiff's expired exemption, (3) an order of mandamus that       they process it right away.              AND UPON being advised that the Plaintiff obtained a       personal production permit under the ACMPR on or about Feb       13 2013, thereby rendering her request for the requested       relief moot, and further being of the view that the issue       should not be determined, notwithstanding mootness,              JCT: So they say they received it on Jan 26 and it was       issued on Feb 13, 18 days for a new record under the ACMPR.       Hope she doesn't get punished for pushing for speedy       service.              THEREFOR THIS COURT ORDERS that the Plaintiff's motion is       dismissed without costs.       Henry S. Brown, Judge              JCT: I never ever expected Judge Brown to hit Heidi with       costs. Sure, she'd made an urgent request, had offended       their guidelines, but with sufficient staff, someday urgent       requests will get dealt with on time.              I have never feared putting a victim before a judge with a       righteous request because of costs. It's bad enough they       have to usually make the person lose that they don't want to       compound the harm to the victim with costs.              And it wasn't so bright of the Crown to ask and make it a       focal issue. But they wanted to set a precedent to scare off       other plaintiffs.              So they asked for costs and the judge dismissed their       request. I'd say Justice was done.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
