|    TURMEL: Judge Brown accepts Truman metad    |

From: johnturmel@gmail.com              TURMEL: Judge Brown accepts Truman metadata as proof of service              PROCEEDINGS QUERIES       Recorded entry(ies) for T-849-18              Court Number: T-849-18       Style of Cause: KENT WILFRED TRUMAN v. HMQ              24 records found for court number T-849-18       Doc Date Filed Office Recorded Entry Summary              - 2018-05-23 Ottawa Letter from Plaintiff dated       23-MAY-2018 requesting that the Court accept the metadata       from an email sent to Wendy Wright as disproof of service.       *** scanned to Brown, CMJ *** received on 23-MAY-2018              - 2018-05-23 Ottawa Oral directions received from       the Court: The Honourable Mr. Justice Brown dated 23-MAY-       2018 directing that       Further to the Registry's request for Directions as to       whether it may accept for filing the Plaintiff's Reply,       received on May 23, 2018, along with the Plaintiff's request       that the metadata of his email to the Defendant, enclosing       said Reply, be accepted as proof of service, "Accept for       filing."       placed on file on 23-MAY-2018 Confirmed in writing to the       party(ies)              12 2018-05-23 Ottawa Reply Representations on       behalf of Plaintiff in response to the opposing submissions       doc. No. 9 to the Motion in writing with proof of service       upon Defendant on 23-MAY-2018 Filed on 23-MAY-2018              JCT: Accepting the email metadata is so much easier than       making the patients run around swearing affidavits of       service to prove they emailled it to the Defendant. Nathan       Salandy was the first given such permission, not Kent       Truman, can't complain that it can now be done right from       their homes.              Now if there was only some way to save Registry Official       Colinne Martin from having to receive the email, get the       okay from the judge, and then post it to the file. Easiest       would be to use the efiling system to upload the document to       the Reply category and then to upload the metadata pdf to       the Service category and then we wouldn't have to bother her       or the judge evermore.              Still, there aren't all that many so it can't be that much       of an inconvenience though it would be nice to save them to       paperwork.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
