From: johnturmel@gmail.com              TURMEL: Steve Vetricek Motion accepted with Metadata Service              JCT: Steve Vetricek filed a motion for interim remedy after       waiting 9 months for Heatlh Canada to process his       application.              He used the e-filing system which now works this way:       Jeff Harris just used it twice for his stuff.              Steve made a PDF of his Motion Record and emailed it to       Wendy Wright at Jutice.       Then he captured the "sent email" to PDF to show service on       her.       Then he made a PDF of a letter asking the judge for a       direction accepting the metadata pdf as service on her.              Aug 21 2018              FEDERAL COURT              BY EMAIL ONLY       Mr. Steve Vetricek       Ms Wendy Wright              RE: STEVE VETRICEK V. HMTQ FILE NO: T-1371-18GMM              Further to the receipt of the Plaintiff's Motion Record on       July 23 2018, the Court (Mr. Justice Brown) issued the       following direction on August 21 2018:        "Please accept for filing. The Defendant shall file a        response by August 27 2018. The Plaintiff shall have 5        days to Reply."       Yours truly,       Kimberly Lalonde, Registry Officer              JCT: So everyone is getting used to accepting the email       metadata as proof of service on the Defendant. No need for       those useless expensive Affidavits of Service stating it was       served on her.              Now they have until next Monday to explain what's taking       them more than 9 months. And Steve has until the next       Monday to comment.              Should be fun.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
