   TURMEL: Crown misses deadline for Medpot Statement of Defence   
      
   JCT: I am amazed that the Crown could miss its 30-day   
   deadline for filing their Statement of Defence. I thought so   
   but wasn't sure when I noted they gave Jeff until Aug 24 to   
   make a motion to amend the Statement of Claim if he wanted   
   to claim for the lost rent and site expenses during the   
   delay.   
      
   So Jeff sent a letter to the Registry to mention how they'd   
   missed their deadline:

   Dear Registrar   
      
   On July 20 2018, Justice Brown dismissed the Defendant's   
   Motion to Strike the Statement of Claim.   
      
   I presume that the timeline for Actions is back on track and   
   must point out that 30 days have now gone by without any   
   Statement of Defence being filed.   
      
   Could you give them a push to get the filing of their   
   documentation back on the timeline?

   JCT: And since he has to file another letter asking Judge   
   Brown to authorize the service by email and acknowledge the   
   proof of service by metadata, the judge gets to find out
