   TURMEL: No criminal record for Luc Paquette pot-grow conviction   
      
   JCT: Luc Paquette was busted in the big "Nouages" Criminal   
   Enterprise bust in Gatineau of a couple of dozen growers (a   
   criminal organization, Organized Gardening!   
      
   The others went with lawyers and ended up convicted and   
   doing time. He used my forms to self-defend and Judge   
   Laflamme of Cour du Quebec gave him a discharge today with a   
   $2,500 contribution to charity and 200 hours of community   
   service.   
      
   So no criminal record but must do some good in exchange.   
      
   It feels particularly good because the lawyer for the guys   
   doing time was Mr. Swanston who had been my prosecutor in   
   the 1991 Casino Turmel Operation Blackjack case. Nice to   
   know my guy came out with no criminal record while his all   
   got one and did time.
