From: johnturmel@gmail.com              TURMEL: Crown misses Response deadline for Christian Berman MedPot Permit              JCT: On Aug 13, 2018, Chrisian Berman sent his application       to Health Canada for his marijuana permit.              On Nov 30, after 3.5 months, he filed a Statement of Claim       T-2060-18 in Montreal.              On Jan 21 2019, after 7 more weeks, he filed a Motion for an       interim remedy of constitutional exemption.              Same day:        Oral directions received from the Court:        The Honourable Mr. Justice Brown dated 21-JAN-2019        directing that "The Defendant is to file a response by        January 28, 2019. The Plaintiff is to file a reply by        February 5, 2019."              So the Crown has now missed their Jan 28 deadline to file a       response.              It's now going on 6 months of delay to process his permit       and they have not provided a reason why!              Guess they'll have to file for an extension of time to       answer why he's taking 6 months or go to judgement without       any explanation.              I didn't know that Health Canada were still 6 months behind.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
