|    TURMEL: Avoid "Step 2 Stall" for medpot     |
|    29 Aug 19 09:01:52    |
From: johnturmel@gmail.com              JCT: Health Canada has a Step 2 they make some medpot grow       applicants take that's not on the original medpot permit       application form. It's used to stall processing permits by       asking for a Hydro bill as proof of address!!              My last post on Vince Reimer details the problem.              He sent in his application and after 5 weeks they demanded a       Hydro bill to prove his address was distinct. Why can't they       check Canada Post like under the MMAR? The Hydro bill was       sent in 2 days later and after almost 6 more weeks waiting,       he filed a motion for an interim permit and Federal Court       Justice Brown lifted the general stay to let it in. The       Crown said that Health Canada issued the permit the very       next day to make the motion moot.              The point is that the Step 2 Stall is only possible because       Health Canada doesn't request the Hydro bill on the original       application. You have to wonder why they didn't need it       under the MMAR but do now under the Cannabis Regulations.              So, to prevent Health Canada using the Step 2 Stall on your       permit, do include a Hydro bill verifying your address       before they can ask.              Please pass along this warning       http://johnturmel.com/step2stall.txt on to other possible       applicants. It's a tip that should save lots of people lots       of wasted time.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
