From: johnturmel@gmail.com              JCT: Jeff Harris' wife Colleen's application to amend her       medpot permit was received by Health Canada on Feb. 17 2019.       Nothing happened for 4 months.              On June 18 2019, she filed a Statement of Claim for damages       due to delay.              Still nothing 4 months later so she filed a Motion for       interim remedy on Oct 4 2019.              Same day, Judge Brown issued the Direction:              Federal Court       Ottawa, ON K1A 0H9       October 4, 2019 BY EMAIL ONLY              Plaintiff Ms. Colleen M Harris       Counsel for the Defendant Ms. Wendy Wright Mr. Jon Bricker       RE: Colleen M Harris v. HMTQ File No: T-990-19       Pursuant to the filing of the Plaintiff's Motion Record, the       Court (Mr. Justice Brown) issued the following oral       directions on October 4, 2019:        The Defendant is to serve and file a response by October        16 and the Plaintiff may serve and file a reply by        October 24, 2019.              On Oct 8, after 4 days, Colleen heard they had issued her       amended permit to mooten her motion for interim relief.              Too late, they now have to explain by Oct 16 why it took so       long as they argue the motion was now mooted by the hop-to-       it delivery of the requested relief.              And her claim for damages during the 8 months of delay still       goes on.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
