At least one serial net abusing libeler in Canada changed their
mind, or at least decided to stay out of jail, after being
arraigned for criminal libel. (see wired.com story).

Dr. Michael Geist, an noted Canadian Authority on Internet Law
commented that the existence of that criminal sanction still has
a place for dealing with scofflaws who consider themselves judgement
   proof.

PMS of Mt. Benson made a brief stay at Malaspina College, where he
described himself in usenet posts as a late middle aged aloholic
with a keen interest in 12 step programs. I pointed out to Mr.
Griffin and his counsel, that collecting might be difficult from
someone who had been abusing substances and apparently didn't have
any viable job skills, at least not before taking a course at
Malaspina. Apart from the objective characterization of PMS by
Justice Halfyard the K$180 judgement doesn't look good on a credit
   report for a job applicant.

Griffin is aware of the Criminal Libel charge option. Other PMS
victims should also be aware of it.
