   You have no choice.  Getting a job has nothing to do with qualifications or   
   how hard you will work, not even what you can contribute.   
      
   It is about suck up appeasement.  Will you rock the new bosses boat?  Will   
   you fit in?  Are you a good blindly obedient boss supporter?   
      
   Realizing above, and not looking desperate or too sucky will get any job.

   The worst racists I have ever met are not while/english.

   he fears you becoming the manager?

   Good luck.  Governments are often the worst offenders in above.  For   
   example, to hook up with the Canadian government you need french when almost   
   none of the public you will see in Vancouver speaks it.  Makes more sense to   
   know Cantonese or Mandrin.  But French...have to keep the frogs happy at the   
   expense of service and function.

   You are not alone.  Fresh out of school being a WASP I applied too.  Didn't   
   get accepted because of a minority quota set high to "equalize".  Pissed me   
   off.  My first big hit of racism against me from my own government.

   You will not get it.  Sorry to break the news.  White middle class isn't   
   having the children to grow Canada.  And the Canadian government knows   
   Canada isn't at the top of the list to attract good immigrants.  Euros   
   stopped migrating to in good numbers to Canada decades ago, even India is   
   slowing.  So Canada has a loose as a goose immigration policy in the hope   
   they stay and become good little tax sheep.   
      
   Some are even migrating back, I know of two from India that have returned.   
   Even know one who immigrated to Canada, once in went to the USA which was   
   the original objective.   
      
   Canada and the US got started at more or less the same time.  US is 10 times   
   the size in population and 80% in land.  Between mosquitoes and artic   
   tundra, Canada outside of Vancouver and Great Lakes Toronto isn't the most   
   habitable place on earth, and taxation limits our abilities to have children   
   that will not freeze to the fence post (literally).  It is also why   
   government will not talk about emigrant statistics too much.   
      
   Probably out of luck more so than government intelligence, most immigrants   
   are good people seeking a better life.  But with loose as a goose   
   immigration, we will get those that the US has turned down for good reason.   
   Don't let it make you too as racist as the minorities as many are good   
   people.  They are just trying to carve out an existance too just like our   
   forefathers.  But be they white or not, let it fly for the scum.
