51cea148       XPost: can.politics, ont.politics, tor.general       From: bo774@FreeNet.Carleton.CA              Just A Guy (JustAG@hushmail.com) writes:              That he hasn't heard yet that so called climategate turned out to       be yet another case of deniers getting it exactly backwards.              The academic review of climate data found no problem with the data       or with the "hockey stick".              That follows on the independent review by a team of AP journalists,       which found nothing to get overheated about in the entire archive of       stolen email.              "Freedom of Information" is a red herring that keeps getting raised       by deniers. One of the stolen emails discussed a case of a researcher       providing information demanded by a wealthy British Denier, who called       up one of his grad students and told him to expect to be arrested by       the FBI for fraud. Didn't happen of course, and the academic review       of that warming data also found no problem.              Global Warming is an observed fact which several researchers are       trying to explain.              Meanwhile at the snow challenged Vancouver Olympics another 20,000       tickets to the Cypress Bowl venue have been cancelled, bringing       the total to 28,000 tickets cancelled, literaly due to lack of       snow. The last 30 cm of snow trucked in to cover the general       admission area vanished in a warm rain, leaving the area a muddy       pit. Talk about money down the drain, it was trucked in at huge       expense from 200 km away and has now melted and run away.              Even at Whistler Olympic Alpine skiers are feeling exposed rocks       take chunks out of their skis during practice runs, and are seeing       the holes in the skis when they reach the bottom.              To bad Washington, DC can't put all that snow on a train bound for       Vancouver. -)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
