   You are dwelling on the fact that the call-display info was blocked or   
   munged.   
      
   That is of absolutely no significance, importantance, or relavence in   
   this situation.  It is expected (if not well known) that call display   
   information is a joke and is of no use in determining the identity of   
   those calling you.   
      
   What is more interesting is how the call unfolded.  What the opening   
   line was, what information was requested, what comments were made, etc.
