I guess you don't hear much from Miles Davis on that station, eh?

Is the music that you hear sound "disposable"?

What does the CRTC have to do with the lack of a jazz station in your
   locality?

At the risk of preaching to the choir here, before you hear a station
broadcasting jazz, a potential radio station owner would have to
determine whether such a station is economically viable. You'd think
(and I'm assuming), though, there'd be a big enough pool of listeners
in the SW Ontario region to draw from, to make such a radio station
profitable. Vancouver had a station (CJAZ?) too but I guess it just
couldn't survive in that jungle, which was sad in a way. Maybe this
is why there aren't any jazz stations in your region, or in many other
   regions of the country.
