   No Calgary. Edmonton twice.

   Winter in Edmonton. Sigh!

It was the Ice-Age--there could've been Mammoths, etc. around.

Went back to Griesbach last year for the first time since 1958. What's
left of the PMQs is a slum. I found the one we lived in when it was
brand new--we had to wait for it to be finished. It's slowly being
turned into a new housing development. Some of the old DND buildings
are still there, gaping holes where windows used to be.

I remember trudging down the street a block or so, then crossing an
endless field to get to the school. They must have moved it closer over
the last 40 years--it's just three houses down and across the street.
The "endless field" is little bigger than your average suburban lot. :)

   You WILL be assimilated!

Of course, if you pay exhorbitant prices for brand name products, go to
Starbucks for five-dollar cups of coffee, watch Fox sit-coms or use AOL, you
probably already have been assimilated! Wake up!!!
