   I don't know if you remember, or ever ran into, Jerry Barber, the   
   legendary and ruthless bouncer over at "The Chaud" for as long as anyone   
   can recall.  He was quoted in the paper one day as saying he knew it was   
   time to retire because "I found myself beating up the sons of punks I   
   used to throw out of this place years ago, when I first started working
