   I wasn't into Karaoke back then. Actually, I was only into Karaoke for the   
   last few years, since it took place on the nights that I went out for   
   Entertainment. I used to prefer a DJ or good Live Band for dance music, but   
   when the singers did a good job of those dance type songs, it wasn't too   
   bad. Next think I knew.. Black rum had made me a singer.. Not a good one,   
   nonetheless, but a regular.   
      
   I never ate on the island, except snack food at the Nude Beach. And it was   
   the French Side.. Even beyond Orient Beach, you could walk the shore without   
   any resistance from Orient Beach, all down the French Side... A few of us   
   were trying this theory when we bumped into our Commanding Officer coming   
   the other way.. He was bragging about his senior crew and started to say   
   HEY, there are some of my Senior NCOs, when he saw were were naked.. He left   
   the introductions out.. ;-)   
      
   We were on the Cruise ship side, but we took taxis to Orient Beach..   
   The island (like so many of those little islands) makes its money off   
   tourists. We (Sailors) never considered ourselves tourists. We don't buy too   
   many Souvies, and we don't get "taken for a ride" as often as Tourists..
