   Nor do I, Doug. Thank heaven our son is out now. He was slated to go to   
   Afghanistan about 3+ years ago, but for medical reasons (stemming from his   
   electrocution near Pet in June '99 ~ in preperation for Kosovar) it was   
   called off. He was sent to Kosovar about 6 months after the accident,   
   though he shouldn't have been (the doctors later stated). He's now on a   
   medical pension (about 90%), so no chance of him going at all.   
      
   As his mother, I'm so relieved, but saddened at the same time. Our son   
   loved the military and was very proud of what he / fellow Peacekeepers were   
   doing to ease the 'lot' of the people ... [in our son's case .. Rwanda '94,   
   Bosnia '98 and Kosovar '99-2000] .. I know he greatly misses being in.   
      
   No doubt, if David were still in, he'd probably be on his second tour (at   
   least) or about to embark.
