   "We" are not there to fight drug production. "We" are not there because we   
   are a member of NATO. "We" are not going to kill all the Afgans to win   
   popularity.   
      
   "We" like all other nations that joined in, are doing "our" part to fight   
   terrorism. Albeit, that the drug running supports the "terrorists" in   
   funding, but it could just as easily be Mexico, and we are not collectively   
   there to kill them all off to stop the drug shipments.   
      
   The fact is, until the objective is reached (stop the terrorists that are   
   using Afgan as a training camp and shelter), the fight will continue.   
   Either we fight it on their soil, or on our own. They made the first move,   
   "we" met them with resistance in their country.   
      
   I was never fond of the idea of the Iraq war, the fighting in Afganastan, or   
   most other US instigated fighting. But, we have agreements, that we have to   
   honour. NATO is one of them, and there are other issues within North   
   America. Like it or not, we are in for the long run.   
      
   I have poppies in my garden. They are pretty, but not worth fighting over   
   -)
