Not to get too serious, but it is the fundamental experience that all brats
   have: our childhoods are all
pretty unique, which makes us unique (no comment about what that uniqueness
is). Some brats of nearly the same
age may have crossed paths at a base at one time or another, but the chances
of any of us having shared more
then a few years of childhood is pretty well zero.

Indeed, what we can and do share, for what it's worth, is this fractured
   childhood experience.

Of course, brats are not unique in this regard, particularly in contemporary
times. We just more or less form
a fairly large, easily identified group due to the our parent's military
   service.

   Take care.
