From: ccharland@cogeco.ca              Hey y'all              Thanks for the advice on getting my course roster. I went through       Cornwallis enroute to Shearwater for an Air Force conference in 1999. The       old Catholic Church is now the museum. What I found strange was the three       Olympic size pools exposed to the elements. The big gym burned down 9       months earlier.              Speaking of the Catholics, when us Protestants found out that the Catholic       recruits were getting coffee and donuts at the weekly religious class, a lot       of them 'Con'-verted to take advantage of the treats.              I was in A Company 2 Platoon (Margaree Block) kitty-corner from the Mess       Hall on the waterfront.              Does anyone remember an R.C.R. type by the name of Corporal Page, a.k.a.       'Little Hitler'. His personal vehicle was an old black Caddy hearse.              There was also a cement sail boat being built down by the curling club on       the north end of the base.              I never did find Granville Annie. Did any of you by chance?              Well it's bed time. Take care and yak at ya later.              Cheers...Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
