I've collected old songs (c1940-1965) for some years. Hadn't bought any for
awhile, until last week when I sent for an album I'd been wanting for years.
I had it when in my early teens (c1963), lent it to someone c1980 and never
got it back. They must have known that one day it would cost and arm and a
leg to buy ... "Mr Dynamo" by Ronnie Hawkins and the Original Hawks. I'm
fairly certain it was recorded before next guys who went on to join Bob
   Dylan, then became The Band.

I've loads of 'favourite' songs; close to the top is "Lonely Hours" by
Ronnie Hawkins; "Love Me Now" & "Rockin' You Easy, Lovin' You Slow" both by
Ronnie McDowell (actually everything by him .. I've about 34 of his
albums/tapes/Cds & have been to approx 35 shows ~ the man can sing
   anything!)

I get a real kick out of hearing "Green Door" by Jim Lowe; and I really
turn up the sound when "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" by the Andrews Sisters
plays. Most patriotic song I'd have to say is "There Will Always Be An
England" by Vera Lynn ... gives me goosebumps (& use to drive my Austrian
**** neighbour nuts! I'd play it & make sure the outside speakers were 'on'
when I saw him in his yard!)
