   Hi Dora, thanks for the info. At that time, a year ago, my turntable was up   
   in the attic of my garage. It was only recently when I brought it down and   
   put it back into service. If I remember correctly the needle was little used   
   when it went into retirement so will still be ok for awhile yet. I was   
   thinking of the future....there is the option of obtaining a turntable that   
   will put the music on my computer and then I may be able to transfer it to   
   CD. That might be the way to go although I'm wondering about the depth of   
   the music sound done that way. Meaning, will I lose the 'Meat' of a tune?
