   This is a specific type of trolling where someone pretends to be polite and   
   "just seeking the truth," but THEY INTENTIONALLY IGNORE THE EVIDENCE you've

   MINUTIAE to exhaust you, even though you both know they've seen the facts.

   Sealioning (also spelled sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or   
   harassment that consists of pursuing people with persistent requests for   
   evidence or repeated questions, while maintaining a pretense of civility and   
   sincerity. It may take the form of "incessant, bad-faith invitations to engage   
   in debate".   
      
   1. Sealioning   
   This is a specific type of trolling where someone pretends to be polite and   
   "just seeking the truth," but THEY INTENTIONALLY IGNORE THE EVIDENCE you've   
   already given. They keep DEMANDING MORE PROOF (LOL) or OBSESSING OVER TINY   
   MINUTIAE to exhaust you, even though you both know they've seen the facts.   
      
   2. Mushing (or "The Mushing of Evidence")   
   This happens when someone 'mushes" or grinds down a solid argument into tiny,   
   IRRELEVANT GRAINS. They refuse to acknowledge the evidence because they are   
   too busy looking at a single pebble under a magnifying glass.   
      
   3. Argumentum ad Nauseam   
   This is the tactic of REPEATING AN ARGUMENT OR A DENIAL OVER AND OVER AGAIN-   
   ignoring all corrections and evidence-until the other person simply gets tired   
   and stops talking. At that point, the troll claims "victory" because you "gave   
   up."

   4. Sophistry   
   A more classic term for someone who uses clever but FALLACIOUS REASONING (THE   
   "MINUTIAE") to support a position THEY KNOW IS FALSE. A sophist ISN'T LOOKING   
   FOR THE TRUTH; he's looking to win the argument by any means necessary.   
      
   HE'S LOOKING TO WIN THE ARGUMENT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
