   There were *particular* cameras which helped to indentify the suspects.   
   I doubt that anyone has an issue with surveillance cameras used by   
   protective forces under strict protocols.   
      
      
   It is perfectly logical to mount cameras (or enable them) at such an   
   event and then disable them afterward. There is absolutely NO NEED for   
   the widespread proliferation of security cameras.   
      
   The news reports show images from a *particular* set of cameras *at* the   
   event, which is entirely *appropriate* given the threat level and the   
   need to protect the public at such events.   
      
   Now run along an go ping your VPN router. See if that can tell you
