   I'd have thought that was obvious. If you actually want to do yourself   
   in, you're more likely to be successful with the more lethal and   
   irreversible means.   
      
   So for a given number of suicide attempts, the higher that probability   
   the higher the actual suicide rate. In many ways, cleaning up the mess   
   after an unsuccessful suicide attempt is harder than washing gore off the
