   I have no particular desire to see it crash, but I would   
   noy be surprised if it did.  The stuff has some real industrial   
   uses as a good conduftor that is corrosion resistant.  For some   
   reason people seem to like making ugly jewelry with it,   
   but principally it is valued on hype about it being an inflation   
   resistant "store of value".  In fact it does not provide   
   the inflation protection of a simple savings account,   
   and the idea of it being a store-of-value money is based   
   on the long abandoned touchstone technology.   
      
   Gold goes through big swings in perceived value,   
   and when everyone is saying it is must have, is usually   
   the start of a big drop.
