   In British Columbia, we had balanced budgets and lower taxes when the NDP were   
   in power.   
   You don't scare ME with your "further descnt into socialism" bull.  The   
   descent has always   
   been because of rightwing governments and their abuses - whether it's tax   
   breaks or   
   bailouts of the richest - or defending themselves in courts on our dime when   
   they're found   
   out to have taken money in brown envelopes.   
      
   Canadians have to start realizing you don't elect governments who favour the   
   rich and   
   powerful and then expect them to give the average taxpayer a break.
