   Problem is that when government is the problem it's pretty unlikely   
   they're going to do anything to cut back their own power & prestige.   
      
   A good start would be to cut the number of MP's in half and have them   
   work from their home ridings rather than Ottawa. The whole practice of   
   sending your representative off to Ottawa may have been necessary a   
   century ago but it isn't now with modern communications. These people   
   are largely a bunch of trained seals who do little more than waste   
   money, partay, and get in trouble anyway.
