   Marketing, PR- call it what you will.   
   Someone is paid to make ridiculous parallels between the US and Canada,   
   leaving out all the real details how the two compared systems really   
   work, leaving a reader to connect the well- placed dots on their own.   
      
   In the end, we are supposed to go "gee, I want to be able to go to the   
   Mayo Clinic too, and not have to pay for it. Give me the US private option."   
   Only, the article never explicitly said that that would be the case-   
   even considering the hefty insurance fees.   
      
   Bait and switch- the US is good at that game.
