   On the contrary, it does simply disappear, as if by magic (or stroke of a   
   pen) to pay the magically-created debts. I've seen it done many times to   
   many people.

   If there someone standing there to shove you back in the hole, there   
   really isn't much point climbing out. It might take a few rounds to figure   
   out the game, but eventually people do learn.
