   Ha.  And I'd 'ave picked Argy as one of the few places down there   
   safe for my level of "investment": a mortgage on some BA property   
   probly has more long term stability than most everything else there...   
   might go down but A. it will come back up and B. it will still be   
   yours.  Now if I had the coin and moral inclination of a currency   
   speculator I think Brazil would have more potential for sweatin'   
   down favellas and growing soy from ashes.

   Which makes the usual gleefulness at USian misfortunes seem especially   
   futile to my mind.  There's a lot of useless vanity that's paying for   
   all their troubles, for sure.
