I know that even those of my kind who see stupidity in 2 British Thermal
Units of natural gas producing 1 BTU of Oil sands oil, agree with your former
Premier Lougheed and what he says today about the pipeline to Texas
refineries, and not building them in Alberta. I also think that we are
selling Alberta by the pound. It was years ago when cutting royalties meant
involving companies to be in. Now people know that the oil sands are viable
and Alberta must not give them away. This isn't 10 years ago.

Alberta's fight isn't against Ottawa, it's against themselves. Nobody is
going to move out of the area because royalties for the people increase.

Where are they going to go? The other oil sands in Chavez's Venezuela?

   Fat chance.

Though I wish that oil would not be so necessary, we all know that it is and
will be for the foreseeable future. So making Hay while the Sun shines is
   up to government. Alberta.

Make those refineries, ship the finished product to the USA. Don't ship raw
   material.

Jobs should be where the natural resources exist.

Russia and Canada have nuclear industries. Australia doesn't.

And the three biggest producers of Uranium are Australia, Canada and Russia.

I don't want to be like Australia for any resource.
