If I knew I could get       away with it, in a heart beat.              Wasn't always that way. Just that government gets too greedy, the       higher the taxes, the more incentive there is to cheat. And I don't see       the value to Canadians at the current tax rates, basic deductions should       be doubled and max tax rates be initiated. People deserve 67% of their       income in real value. After a person has paid 33% in taxes in any form       be it civic, provincial or federal, they shouldn't have to pay more       cumulative taxes on utilities, property, gas, excise or other BS taxes.              Needs to be more to life than just being a tax sheep.              > And, more importantly, can Ottawa talk you out of it?              Nope. I will always vote for less government. Problem is they assure       only big fat expensive government options exist on the ballot and spend       billions to brainwash people into big government. Government will roll       over vets, disabled and seniors CPP then go out and blow it on glass       houses, bailouts, foreign bailout corruption, more corruption and war       machines.              > The Canada Revenue Agency is enormously preoccupied with these       > questions, particularly when Ottawa is trying to erase a massive       > budget deficit.              Time for government to do what 80% of the rest of us have done. Cut       back on shit that doesn't directly benefit ALL Canadians. Stop thinking       greedy government has the right to screw our kids with debt for their       statism greed today. Get some integrity and honour.              > To this end, the tax collector commissioned a market research study       > that sorted Canadians into categories, based on their likelihood of       > ducking taxes owed and their reasons for complying or cheating.              There are quite legal was of ducking Ottawa greed, pack up the       investments for less jobs and move out. Oh wait, many are and fewer       good jobs.              > This leaves a great middle mass of taxpayers – nearly 40 per cent of       > the filing population – who vary in their inclination to seek       > opportunities to pay cash under the table to avoid taxes.              Why would I turn them in if I knew of it? I am not a greedy envious       fleabagger loaded with bitterness and spite. (although many are and CRA       counts on it). Sorry, the government hate thy neighbor doesn't work on       me as I know who is really doing the screwing.              > “The top potential motivators tend to be understanding their tax       > responsibilities, fear of penalties and knowing how their tax dollars       > are spent,” it says.              Responsibilities or debt-tax enslavement? Yes, I conform because I have       to, but not without a grudge. I know we are tax slaves.              I say slaves for 2 reasons. First is simple, how can I effect change?       I can't. Party politics rigs the game of democracy. You have 4       choices, all big fat expensive government. Never less taxing, allways       more from you to Ottawa.              Take something simple like CPP. Government gets it, borrows from it at       undervalue interest rates depreciating its value, in essence skimming       EI/CPP. I will never get near full value from my contributions, not       even close.              In retirement, the shift in taxes is to sales taxes, a tax on tax. You       pay on income and consumption for a nt tax load of over 50%. It gets       worse, because the services you need are double or triple the cost, your       spend also pays their taxes. Making Candian life very expensive.              Then Ottawa goes and spends it on bombs, F35s, crap we don't use...but       makes them feel like big shots in the international arena of       egalitarians. Fleabaggers, welfare bums, EI abusers....eglitarians all       leaches on the middle class wealth. And noting ever seems to stop it.              Fact is Canadian democracy is a ruse. A farce. We say we have a social       safety net, ya, for indexed politicians perhaps but the rest is poverty.              But we must have big fat over spending greedy government mortgaging our       grand kids futures today.              Can't say I am much of a believer. 75% of Ottawa government spending       does not benefit all Canadians equally. Th G12 brain washing wore off a       long time ago.              Fact is big government has lost its way. And the bigger government       gets, the less wealth the people will have.              But I am sure Carney from Harvard will just print more money for more       inflation to debt-tax-inflate our lives. All for the love of statism       and just more debt. But we have big fat government we can't afford.       The fundamental reason for this whole depression. Too much government       consumption, and production is no longer profitable.       --       The reason government can't fix the economic problems is government is       the problem.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
