|    Government tax greed and a TFSA    |

From: Canuck57@nospam.com              If you don't have a TFSA by now you are a fool or just plain ignorant.              Why? Simple, it is a way to get rich for $5000/year.              40 years for $5000/year at 6.5 in a REIT/stock or whatever, inflation       offsetting by non-taxed capital growth makes TFSA and not RRSP as your       first best savings for retirement vehicle. Hey, the above is worth       $878K in todays spending power, tax free in 40 years!              One way the TFSA outshines the RRSP is in inflation. In an RRSP you       will pay taxes on all withdrawals, gains, dividends and interest at some       further tax greedy date and high rate. But with a TFSA it also gets out       out of government-fraud inflation tax as those gains to pace inflation       don't get taxed. Huge difference in a 30-40 year savings career towards       retirement.              Get your TFSA NOW! It is a gift. Guess the people in Ottawa were drunk       that day as it is the only gift this taxpayer has had in 35 years of       paying taxes.              Isn't to slight RRSPs either, they are good in high income years where       the tax deductibility is high. For higher income earners, do both. But       TFSA is for everyone.              Hey, even if your spouse doesn't work, money earned in the TFSA doesn't       reduce their deductibility as a dependent. So even if you don't work,       TFSA is for you.              Just made my 2012 contribution, $26K ($6 in div/gain/int) and rising.       Just wish they would let us old folks put in more. But young folks,       start now, could be your $878,000 tax free retirement package.              $10 saved on taxes is better than $20 in gross wages....       --       No mater how liberally you try to ignore rationality and reality,       reality always wins in the end.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
