You get taxed. Maybe not income taxes but you get taxed.

Your water, hydro, sin taxes, fuel taxes, other utilities, property,
excise, tariffs are all in your life somewhere. Get your teeth cleaned
for $230, 1/2 goes to taxes in one form or another from the hygienists
wage taxes, business taxes, civic taxes, or another.

They get you coming (income and employment tax), holding taxes
(dividends, gains and interest) and on the spending side in
   HST/excise/tariffs.

You pay taxes if you wipe you ass and flush the toilet.
